Sasami-san@Ganbaranai Chapter 7

Tsukuyomi Sasami's Considerations

★What is the “alteration” of the world?
▽This world (or, more accurately, this country) is ruled by “the gods of Yaorozuya.” “The gods of Yaorozuya” are different from the God that represents Christianity, or the gods in Greek mythology, but rather are “gods” that dwell in all sorts of things.

▽According to that thought, from the stone on the roadside, the building and the crafts, the animals and the weeds, and even conceptual things and things on a huge scale like towns or the laws of physics,- a “god” dwells within each of these. “Yaorozuya” could be defined as “a lot,” probably because it would be impossible to count if a “god” even dwells in a random piece of trash on the floor.
▽Even though it seems fishy when represented as a “god,” it's something closer to an “ego.” It is a “consciousness”; it is a “heart”; it is a “personality.” The “gods of Yaorozuya” think. In other words they are a personable god with feelings. This goes for the highest god that controls the sun, Amaterasu, to the “god” that dwells in an eraser you can find anywhere, without any exceptions. They possess “personality,” or something to be observed as that.
▽Our understanding, or in other words the “common sense” in the “human world,” would have difficulty grasping the fact that “gods dwell in all things.” This will be described in greater detail, but the true world that we think of is actually “a world “altered” for our convenience,” so while we are roaming the other “gods” are scared and quiet (sometimes “gods” cause cases like that of a spiritual phenomena to forget their troubles, but a organization of experts would solve it).
▽In the first place, not all “gods” get along. It’s easier to understand when you think of it as a group of people. If there are a lot of people with a lot “personalities,” likes, dislikes, and factions will be born, and a difference in voice and action will occur. Of course, even “Yaorozuya’s” “gods,” get along in an ideal world - but that doesn't happen, so if there is a chance, the “gods” will try to push their view, and additionally try to create a “world that is more convenient for himself/herself.”
▽However, the range that the “gods” rule is only “him/herself.” If it’s a “god of a stone,” then it can only change the “stone” which is “him/herself.” The other “gods” are another person, so of course they won’t listen to their commands.
▽But the “gods” have ranks. Let’s say there was a wooden desk. A “desk” is a thing assembled with “wood,” and a “screw.” And even the “desk,” the “wood,” and the “screw” have a “god” that dwells in them. The “wood” is the “god of the wood,” and is also “part of the god of the desk.” The “god of the desk” is a part of the “god of furniture(the desk is a type of furniture, so it is thought to be under the control of).”
▽As if like molecules, little “gods” gather to form a bigger “god,” then it becomes more conceptual, for example “god of a desk” → “god of a house” → “god of a town” → “ god of a country” → “god of the world,” just like that a “god” of a “part” is only “one part” of a “god” of a “whole.”
▽It’s a good idea to think of the relationship of an individual and an organization. Each and every staff is an “individual” with a “ego”, but when that is gathered to become the “whole,” a “individuality” = “corporation” occurs. And in most cases, the staff can’t go against the company. The company has the right to command the staff; actually it’s more like the influence to forcibly control them. These are the “gods” that are the most obvious.
▽The “god of the whole” can make the “god of a part” conform. That is an almost, absolute right to command. A “god” with a higher rank rules “gods” of lower rank, and is free to change them. This change is called “alteration.”
▽A “god” has a “personality,” so it will try to create a “world more cozy, and convenient for him/herself” as mentioned before. So the “gods” should behave indulgently, and the world becomes a lawless zone in chaos? Not necessarily.
▽If all humans behave wildly, the nation will collapse. So, the humans who disliked that kind of order-less world they made a nation. “Gods” are same. So the “gods” don’t frolic too much to satisfy their own greed, there is a being who control the “gods.” In other words the king of the “gods”- that is the “Supreme God Amaterasu.”
▽Just like the name, “Supreme God” states, Amaterasu is the number one in the god rank. Every “god” conforms to this. In other words, Amaterasu can regulate the “world” as he pleases, and the other “gods” regulate their form based on this. As Amaterasu wishes, this “world” changes its appearance. That is exactly the case from stones, all the way to the laws of physics.
▽For a while a “world convenient for humans” continued because this Amaterasu was seized by “humans,” and forced to conform. “Humans” are in a somewhat special position, so they sealed the “Supreme God,” and was able to make it their own tool. Then with the newly gained power of Amaterasu, they utilized the authority, and the humans maintained a world that is “convenient for themselves.”
▽I’ll go into more detail later, but that Amaterasu is currently, of all things is inside Onii-chan’s body. In other words, assimilated. You can think of it as “Onii-chan = Amaterasu.” To make it easier for some people, it’s like “Onii-chan = Suzumiya Haruhi.*” But Onii-chan has a circumstance that makes him not recognize the God’s power, and is such a dickhead that doesn't even know how to use it- like when a incompetent king reigns over a country, “the world” is becoming insane.
▽That’s basically the current situation. I think I will still summarize in the next report. Something that needs be reflected even more, however, is the uproar of the other day- the incident temporarily called the “Valentine’s tragedy.”

★About the “Valentine’s tragedy.”
▽The first large-scale “alteration” that occurred since the “Supreme God Amaterasu” moved into Onii-chan’s body, was the “Valentine’s Tragedy.” After thinking and researching about various things, I was finally to grasp the outline of this brainless incident where he tried to turn the whole world chocolate.
▽Onii-chan is predisposed to servitude, actually more like a person who with no desires. In addition, he's in self-denial because of the circumstances, so he's actually more like “I don’t exist,” a person that doesn't hold their own thought or emotion. He hides his face, trying to kill his “self”, and not become conscious.
▽So even though he possesses the “power of the Supreme God,” Onii-chan doesn't make use of it for his own personal greed. You can say that it's a useless treasure, but it's possible to destroy the world if you use the “power of the Supreme God” seriously- so it being in his possession is a relief.
▽That’s why it was never addressed. Just in case, I was watching in detail with the, “Onii-chan spy tool,” so that Onii-chan didn't do anything strange, or embrace any nuisance demands(if that wasn't the case, who would gaze at the pervert day and night?)- Onii-chan lived his everyday so casually, so that wasn't almost needed.
▽But this time, Onii-chan embraced a demand. That demand was idiotic, but it was “I want chocolate”- and Onii-chan who was given too much knowledge by the Three Yagami Sisters, and, surprisingly, wished for something and “wanted” it.
▽We’ll be troubled if you misunderstand, but it wasn't that Onii-chan in particular ordered “turn the whole wooorld into chocolate♪” or anything. That was what the surrounding “gods” arbitrarily did. The “gods” were listening to the “I want chocolate” demand from Onii-chan, so they decided, “let’s make the “Supreme God”-sama rejoice,” and changed themselves into chocolate, and asserted “eat me eat me♪(currently [Onii-chan = Supreme God Amaterasu], and the other “gods” can’t distinguish the two).”
▽Everyone works under a good company, and wants to live in a country with a secure and rich life- the “gods” are the same. If they're liked by the “supreme god,” their position gets higher. Their god rank is raised. They can live with more freedom, and more to their desire. That’s why the “gods” try to grant Onii-chan’s desire as much as possible. In short, they use flattery to try to get liked by Onii-chan.
▽As a result, the “gods” changed themselves into chocolate, and the weird occurrence of the world - changing into a landscape of mostly chocolate - happened. It was all for Onii-chan, all so Onii-chan could rejoice. Onii-chan was probably the only one to receive that much chocolate on Valentine's day.
▽Anyways, without thinking of the consequences, the “gods” turned into chocolate, but the ones who didn't let that happen was the Three Yagami Sisters. Since they had a far higher god rank than regular “gods,” and were apparently in a special position- can even forcibly intervene a “modification” reasoned by the “Supreme God.”
▽They tried to return the world to normal. It’s obvious. Anything but a chocolate filled world, right? However, the Three Sisters' act was judged as “a hostile act towards us trying to make the “Supreme God” rejoice,” by the surrounding “gods.”
▽That’s why the “gods” who were chocolofied attacked the three who were trying to return the world to normal,. That was probably the brown mud slide blowing violently out of our house(The Three Sisters were referring to those hostile “gods” as “evil gods”..... but I still don’t know what it is about, so I’ll summarize it in the next report).
▽A mere lower class “material god” (The smallest unit of the “gods.” In other words the god of a part. Even though it’s the same smallest unit as well, the animals and plants are called “creature gods”, and are treated rather differently.), is no opponent to the Yagami Three Sisters, dispatched with disappointing ease. After cleaning up the small fry just like that, the Three Sisters decided to solve this “monster difference” (An inconvenient incident caused by an “alteration”).
▽In short, the cause of the incident this time is Onii-chan’s feeling of “I want chocolate!” To end it, was to satisfy that demand. That is why, the Three Sister ever so carefully coated me with chocolate, and devoted me to Onii-chan. I was a sacrifice.
▽Onii-chan misunderstood and that I would do a “the chocolate is..... M・E・E♪” kinda thing, and died satisfied. As a result Onii-chan’s demand was satisfied, and the “gods” returned to normal in a even if I do anything else, it's kinda pointless (Onii-chan has a “I want to live as usual” feeling, so the world will return to normal almost automatically if the demand settles).

★Summary
▽Well, to think a big scale “modification” would occur from a trifling demand such as “I want chocolate!,” the “Supreme God’s power” is as ridiculous as I thought..... I think I want to strengthen Onii-chan’s monitoring so that another brainless situation like this doesn't occur in the future,
▽The identity of the Yagami Three Sisters, and a lot of other facts are not yet solved. In the future, I’ll investigate, consider, and will deal with it. Why do I have to do such a troublesome thing- I sometimes think, but because you can’t say it wasn't partly my fault, well, it can’t be helped.
▽For a while I don’t want to eat chocolate.
